    6/1/09 Reds vs Cards

    Per Fay:

    Chris Dickerson 8
    Adam Rosales 5
    Brandon Phillips 4
    Jay Bruce 9
    Ramon Hernandez 3
    Laynce Nix 7
    Alex Gonzalez 6
    Ryan Hanigan 2
    Edinson Volquez 1

    vs. RH Todd Wellemeyer

Phillips is hitting third, Bruce fourth.

Willy Taveras will likely play tomorrow. He's available tonight. Jerry Hairston is sick with a flu-like illness. He didn't take batting practice.

As noted earlier, Yonder Alonso was promoted to Double-A Carolina.

Wellemeyer does a good job of keeping the ball down.

With the bad thumb no way Phillips should have been leaning that far.

You know Larue was waiting for that opportunity.

BP is a good player but he seems to think that he is actually better than he is and it gets him in trouble sometimes.
