Seeing the names Earl Torgeson and Roy McMillan in these lineups reminded me that these guys, along with a few others in the big leagues, wore eye-glasses (as Waite Hoyt called them) in the 50's and 60's. McMillan wore them for only part of his career.

Eventually, of course, contacts and surgery came to be a common solution for less than perfect vision.

When I get a chance I'd like to make a list of guys who wore glasses and played in the bigs. By the way, didn't I read recently here on the Zone that there is someone who currently wears them?
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.
