Grand Vic if you just want to gamble. Belterra if you want to eat and spend the night and a bunch of money.

My parents are members of all three. They like Belterra for the accomodations and Argosy for the food (plus it's closer). Not all that crazy about Grand Vic.

I'd recommend skipping the boats altogether and heading up to either Indiana Live in Shelbyville or Hoosier Park in Anderson. I go to Hoosier a couple time a month for live racing and the casino. Classy place all around and sooooo much nicer than the boats.

    No table games though.

They have video black jack and video poker but no real table games.

Horse Track is great though...15 minutes from my house, I know the place well!!!!!

Argosy is going through a major expansion. It is going to open a new boat about 3 times larger than the old boat in July. It will also be renamed Hollywood Casino.

Yeah, that is the only downfall of the place IMO. Blackjack isn't quite the same without using real cards.

But for me at least (I typically just bet on the races and play video poker), I'll never go back to the boats. I just love the atmosphere so much better at Hoosier. More of a "Vegasy" feel to it.

Haven't been to Indiana Live yet, but hear it's also a very nice place and much bigger than Hoosier.

Indiana Live is alot bigger than Hoosier Park.

I love to gamble but just despise playing machines. Give me a craps table and I am happy.

Indiana Live is a hard place to get a drink to. There was like one bar location and long lines which is ridiculous for a casino.

I've never had that problem at Hoosier. Last time I was there on a weekend, they even had beer stands setup throughout the casino.

I wonder why neither of these places have real table games? I'm not into Craps much, but I do like playing BJ, 3 card poker, and pai gao poker when I'm in Vegas (which is where I'm going in a couple of weeks ).

Of the three you mentioned, I prefer Beltera.

For golf, Grand Vic over Belterra (IMO of course, but I prefer links style over that overrated POS @ Belterra)

    For ammenities, Belterra

    For proximity, Argosy

My overall preference is Grand Vic
