Carolina and Dayton both being delayed to rain.
Wood: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K
Now 5 IP, 3 hits, 7 Ks.
0-0 through 5
like the strikeouts from Wood. I was pretty skeptical of his success early, but his K/BB ratio seems to be improving as the year goes on.
Make it 6 IP, 3 H, 0 BB, 8 K
Nine strikeouts in 7 innings. Wood is terrific.
I know Woods has been rated to having one of the best changeups in minor league baseball, but is it a pitch he is effective with inside the strikezone? Or is it something where its only effective when they're hacking at it out of the zone?

The Bats open the game with an error on Bankston.
Down goes Frazier!
Actually, he hit a homer. 2-0 Mudcats.
