    Can we get Darnell back?

    I kid. Sort of.

The trivia question is who is the last remaining National who played for the Expos. Nick Johnson, right?
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Someone needs to drive to Louisville and find Jonny's bat. He obviously left it there.

Let's face it: Johnny Gomes' MLB career has been hanging by a thread for quite a while. This is probably the last or one of the last chances he's going to get.

Gomes has not played/started in 2 weeks right? Not the type of hitter who just walk up there and hit whenever...like Kevin Mitchell.

Boy.....this team could really use a Kevin Mitchell.

This pitcher has given up 20 runs in last 9 innings per the WAS announcers....so really....this Reds 1982 version of hitting....is a good tonic for him.

    Dunn lines out to right.

Dukes homers to left. Tie game 1-1.

Particularly troubling for Gomes because the best gig he's going to find is as a platoon guy. If he can't cut that, I don't expect a starting job to get turned over to him anytime soon...

Good hustle. Gonzalez with a bloop double to center. His 2nd hit tonight.
