I like the Brewers draft the most, and not just because they had the most picks...plus they've got another Prince for their infield.

Should be interesting if Josh Prince ever ends up playing shortstop for the big club while Prince Fielder is playing.

Gotta love the meaningless day after draft grades.

I guess it's fun, but out of all the major sports leagues draft, MLB probably has the highest fail rate of any and everyone is pissed at selecting players they seen just from highlight videos or from reading scouting reports.

The ONLY reason I like the Brewers draft better than the Reds is numbers. I think the Reds had the best draft in the division but numbers are vital in draft and the Brewers have 2 chances more for success. Of course I really really like the Donny Joseph pick better than most.

Hard to understand why the Astros went so heavily after high school guys- that organization has almost no one who's close to reaching the majors.

They've also got zero athleticism in the system. I think they are just trying to infuse some talent and upside into the worst system in baseball.

Agreed on grades. Draft picks are, at best, a year from making a major league roster and most are betwen four and six years away.

It's like grading out freshmen for the NBA Draft. Sure, you may grab a Kobe, but, more often, you're looking at the next Schea Cotton.

I would too, but it wouldn't be because of the draft. If and when they announce the signing of Miguel Sano, their 2009 signings will look a whole lot better.

If the Reds sign Cabrera our 2009 pitching crop looks really good, too. And that's just after day one.
