Pearl ranked #173rd in the BA Top 200 prospect list, this was his first year pitching.
Jacob Stewart and Kendal Volz are still available.
Red Sox just took Volz in the 9th round.
Brian Pearl, a RHP reliever out of Washington, could go anywhere in between the end of Round 1 and the early portion of Round 2. (from Baseball Rumor Mill)
Brian Pearl continues to impress scouts with his velocity (94mph) and while he's unlikely to be a first round pick, he won't fall past the second round
A reliever. Also played infield. Didn't pitch part of college career, converted to pitcher and became their closer. (Wash. Huskies)

Tucker Barnhart, Catcher, hes from somwhere in Indiana.
Pearl ranked 56th by Keith Law.
TUCKER BARNHART (C, B/R, 5-10, 170, Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg)
The top player in Indiana, according to PG Crosschecker, Barnhart is rated the No. 5 catcher in the nation and No. 84 high school prospect. A four-star recruit by Baseball America's Prospects Plus, Barnhart was named a 2008 Louisville Slugger High School All-American after being tabbed honorable mention All-America by Collegiate Baseball in 2007. The same year, Barnhart was the only junior listed on Baseball America's "Best Tools" list for the East Coast Showcase, being named the Best Defensive Catcher at the event. As a sophomore, the switch-hitting Barnhart hit .417 with 10 HR, 9 doubles and 39 RBI while posting a stellar .986 fielding percentage behind the plate. A two-time honorable mention all-state honoree, Barnhart helped his Brownsburg High School team to a 22-5 record in 2008 and has played summer baseball with the Indiana Bulls.
Hall on Barnhart: "Tucker Barnhart, to me, is one of the best position players in the country. His primary position is catcher, but he can also play third and second base. A good tribute to him would be when a guy named Dave Alexander, who used to be the baseball coach at Purdue, told me this summer that he thought Tucker was probably a better infielder than he was a catcher, and we think that he is one of the best catchers in the country. He is just a very, very good baseball player and we are excited to have him."
Also a committment to Ga.Tech
Switch hitter by the looks of his video

I watched his video on MLB. Obviously not long enough to form too strong opinions over, but while I liked his footwork defensively, I was not real impressed with his arm strength on the throws down to second. He is only 18 though, so that might come over the next few years as he matures.
EDIT: I just saw the scouting report. It does sound like he's a pretty well-rounded player and very versatile. I love hearing that.

I am liking the picks so far. Really like Barnhart if they can sign him away from GT. Silva is a nice pick, too but the college pitchers have me excited. Pearl was a big pick at 9th round and Barnhart would be much higher if there wasn't signability concerns due to a strong commitment. It'll take over slot money to get him, I think.
