Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

    Re: anyone have the iphone?

I just got an iPod Touch about 10 days ago. It's 90% of the fun of the iPhone without the monthly bill. I use too few voice minutes to justify postpaid wireless.

I like the MLB At Bat lite and have been considering the $10 investment for the full version.
    Just got Peggle yesterday.
I've spent far too much time playing Soloban solitaire.

    Re: anyone have the iphone?

Starting tomorrow anyone who has the MLB At Bat App will need to download the free update and you will be able to start enjoying MLB.TV on your iphone/ipod touch. Sadly Blackout Restrictions still apply.

When MLB.com announced in March of this year that Gameday Audio would be available via their At Bat 2009 product, I went out on a limb and predicted that by 2010, an MLB Extra Innings type package for mobile devices would be available.

It seems I was off by a few months.

With today’s release of version 3.0 of Apple’s operating system fo iPhone and iPod Touch, MLB.com will release its latest version of At Bat that will allow live video streaming of games to the devices. But, unlike Gameday Audio for At Bat, this time blackout restrictions do apply. How will MLB.com know where you are? As reported in May, MLB.com has technology to track you (see MLBAM Issued Patent for Geolocation. Could MLB Extra Innings for Mobile Be Far Behind?).

Not every game that is available via league's out-of-market online package MLB.TV will be streamed for the mobile devices when the new version is launched. Thursday's interleague tilt between the White Sox and Cubs from Wrigley Field will be the first game streamed live (2:20 ET), followed by the night game between the Tigers and Cardinals (8:15 ET). Shortly thereafter, it is expected that the same package of games that are normally available through MLB.TV Premium will be rolled out.

Cost will continue to be $9.99 through the rest of the season, including the playoffs, and will be available via the App Store on iTunes.

So, with the "regular black-out rules", would a Louisville resident be able to watch Reds games on his/her iPhone if they purchased this app? Do I need a Wi-Fi connection to stream games or will a good 3G connection work as well?

Also, I am downloading OS 3.0 now. I would be interested to hear thoughts / reviews of others who are already using it. What bugs have you found? What are you favorite new features?

You will be able to watch on WiFi and 3G. My favorite feature is the Copy and Paste option of pretty much any writings. MMS is not here yet But supposed to be coming towards the end of summer don't know why it is taking so long.

I'll have an Iphone as soon at it gets here to Verizon. Which through the grapevine, I've heard a few different situations that will have the Iphone available within a year.

I just updated my Touch to 3.0 and read the description of At Bat 2009. Turns out the catch to the video streaming is that it doesn't include every game. "At Bat 2009 now offers 1-2 live streaming games per day (Blackout and other restrictions apply.)"

I'm back on the fence about the upgrade, since I have XM and EI already.

Spent the 9.99 for At Bat 09 today. It's very nice . . . listening to Thom and Cowboy on my phone as I type!!

Also got the US Open app today which will show some live streaming video as well (if the rain ever stops).

How much does it cost to have an iphone? Does anyone know? Is there a price break for 2?

Depends on the plan of course. Cheapest minimum is $70 before taxes and without any texting plan for one person/one phone. I do believe you can get a family plan with two lines, but I am not for sure and I am not for sure on the pricing for that either.

My GF and I each have an iPhone and use the "family" plan. With the data package required for web and e-mail access, our bill comes out to about $170 a month with all taxes and fees. I think we share 700 anytime minutes (with roll-over) and unlimited nights and weekends. We each have 200 texts per month.

Geez, this is where Sprint beats AT&T, IMO. My wife and I have a share plan. We share 1500 anytime minutes (unlimited night and weekends, obviously), unlimited data, unlimited texts and our bill comes to around $145 after taxes and fees.

With all that said I may give it up for an iPhone if there aren't some major improvements to the Instinct.

    Nice, CE.

Oh, another great app - Evernote. Great note-taking, tagging, sharing, anything service that you can sync between the phone and your desktop.
