    As for Travis Wood's no hitter.... it was my fault. I said to a friend 'have you checked the Carolina box score?' Wood threw a pitch and there was the single. I turned off the speakers. Sorry Travis!

    Homer Bailey threw 109 pitches in eight innings and Rick Sweet sent him back out there in the 9th. He hit LaPorta to open the 9th inning.
