Make that three innings, one hit.

    Watson's last six games: 12.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 14 K, 5 BB

Also another scoreless inning for Ondrusek, whose ERA is still 0.00. He has given up five hits in 14 innings, with 10 K and 6 BB.

    Carolina wins 4-3.

Can anybody supply a scouting report on Jake Kahaulelio? Dude's up to .309 now, .411 OBP. Is he much of a second baseman?

Bats go down in the top of the second. Wilkin Castillo with a single. Still 0-0.

Lecure has a nice K/BB in Louisville, but the home runs have been a thorn in his side. If he can cut down on the homers he may develop into a solid back-end starter. He may also end up in the bullpen. I saw him come out of the bullpen in a ST game against the Phillies throwing absolute gas. He had to be throwing 94/95.

Agree that Lecure can possibly contribute at the major league level. He had some great stretches at AA ball and hopefully is getting on track at AAA now. He's another name to add to the stable of possible major league starters at AAA and AA, a pretty good group.

I understand Lecure's positives as described by OBM and KC, but its not adding up to good results for him. He's giving up a lot of HR and turned 25 in May. While 25 isn't old, for a RH pitcher its getting past prospect time. With 40 man roster spots somewhat being scarce at this point, I think he's in danger of an outright assignment and exposure to waivers at some point. If the Reds decide not to punt on Lincoln, there is only a Bray trip to the 60 day DL standing between Lecure and the 40 man bubble IMO. Since the Reds are likely to add someone from outside the organization (through a trade) or within (Stubbs, Frazier, etc) at some point, Lecure's time with the organization may just be dwindlng.
