    Off Day.. What Happens?

This team has been overmatched by last place teams and pitchers who are not anything to write home to mom about. This team is not hitting and pitching is holding this team afloat. That and the fact that the rest of the division is fairing just as well. I don't need to point out the flaws because everyone of you know them all to well. I will say this team needs a shake up and needs it now!

What moves do you think will be made (if any)?

    &

    What moves would you make?

    Maybe Votto comes back?

I could see Rosales down, and Sutton up.

Burton optioned back to AAA would make sense to me, he needs to work on what is ailing him. Rosales for Sutton makes some sense but seems like a lateral move. I have been preaching this team needs to start looking at Stubbs, Bailey, Viola or Roenicke with some serious thought.

If you have a losing record at Reds games, please stop going.

Listening to the radio today.. it seems as if Votto would be a week away if not two weeks. I didn't figure him to be activated today by any means because the Reds said they wouldn't rush him back. I could see him back for the ChiSox series.

I agree.. ARos needs to be sent down. I would like to see Todd Frazier up in place of Sutton. Another player I would like to see up her is Drew Stubbs who was 3-4 tonight with a BB and 2 SB's.

Not because something doesn't NEED to be done.

    Sad but true...

    Sadly correct.

The team isn't going to bring Stubbs up and send Taveras to the bench and there's really no help in the minors for any of the positions that are problematic right now (1st and 3rd).

So, stand pat and hope things get better -- not like people didn't see this coming at the beginning of the season anyway.

Come on CE, those people were just being negative nellies who are never happy and don't leave their spreadsheets long enough to actually watch the games. :

There's no need to rush the Stubbs and Frasiers of the world to try to salvage a season that was dead on arrival to begin with. I don't understand why people are so willing to ignore the Homer Bailey experiment that unfolded just recently. Let the kids develop and quit trying to find the next I71 savior.

If Votto's back, Rosales goes down. No other space for an additional.

As for the orginal premise, I think if Votto is back, that's the only major move you're going to see. These things are never as simple as we fans want them to be. You have to have a move in and a move out, to balance things out.

People saw Votto and Edwin down for considerable amount of the season and Bruce struggling?

    I don't remember those posts.

Reds have 13 pitchers. No DH this week, two home series, so Reds need flexibility to pinch hit and for Dusty's double switches.

A pitcher should go down and a hitter come up. Not saying it will happen, but it should. No need for 13 pitchers this week.
