Wood can swing the bat pretty well. That's something I've noticed from most Red pitchers. Cueto's got speed, Owings, of course, Maloney's not bad, Bailey's okay-- then, there's Harang.

    Wonder if that's something taught?

Stubbs should be leading off at this point to get experience.

Interesting that they have Cozart batting fifth instead of 2nd.

Didn't they get the memo that CF leads off and SS bats 2nd in this organization?

I've heard multiple people say that they've never seen a pitcher work as hard as Harang does on his hitting. In fact, Adam Dunn was joking about it in a recent article.

Re: Tuesday 6/23 Minor League Updates

    Louisville starters tonight (age): LF Hopper (30), CF Stubbs (24), 3B Sutton (26 in a week), DH EE (26), 1B Barker (33), RF McDonald (30), SS Valaika (23), 2B Bolivar (28), C Brian Peterson (30), P Maloney (25).
Lehr (31) and Pettyjohn (32) have yet to see action tonight.

Why can't Heisey and Frazier be brought up? This is way to much filler at AAA. Barker, McDonald, Hopper, Peterson, Lehr and Pettyjohn need to be released and the organization reshuffled. We have too many at-bats and pitching appearances going to players who will never see the light of the majors.

Agreed, although I think you'll see them both up by the Fourth of July. Let Sutton play 2B and plug Frazier in at 3B everyday for the rest of the year.

I have to imagine we're going to see a Dickerson-Stubbs-Bruce OF in Cincy pretty soon if the losses keep piling up. If so, it would be nice to see Heisey play CF for Louisville as well.
