I always thought Lehr would make a decent fifth starter in the bigs. Barring that, he'd be a fine middle reliever. He doesn't walk many and works smart. Also nice to see Stewart work to get a good game out of a poor first inning.

From what I've seen of Lehr over the last two years, he's a fine pitcher. I know he had trouble in the bigs but it's been a while. He's a poster boy for not having to blow batters away. He just knows how to pitch. Batters are off balance all night. Plus, he obviously has a splitter too.

    Code:
Player	IP	H	R	ER	BB	SO	HR	ERA
    Lehr 7.0	2	0	0	0	3	0	3.42
    Pitches-strikes: Lehr 66-47 - 71%

    That was Stewart's final line.

Dorn's June has been what I expected his AAA experience to be. If he continues to hit like this, he'll get a shot. Eventually. Because of his two-month slump, though, I'm guessing that shot will be next season and he'll have to hit the ground running.

He may be one of those guys who needs Winter Ball to stay on track.

Lehr might come out to let Viola get some work.

Of all the tweeners, I'm pulling for Sean Henry to make a positive contribution to the big-league club. Glad to see rebound from his slow start this season. He's been doing very well the last couple of weeks, and has HR's in back-to-back games now. 2 SB's tonight, too, while leading off.

texasdave, I was keeping on eye on Snowden last year until he got suspended (what was that for, anyway?) and liked what he showed, but you seem to be leading the parade on his behalf. Do you have some familiarity with him?

Seriously. At this point, I don't think there is any doubt Stubbs would be--at the very least--a cheaper version of Willy T with superior D.
