    Thursday 6/25/09 Minor League Updates

GCL is underway and actually being updated in what looks like real time.

Down 3-1 in the 8th, here are the guys worth noting so far:
    Code:
Player AB	R	H	2B	3B	HR	RBI	BB	SO	AVG
    Hamilton SS	3	1	1	0	0	0	0	0	0	.455
    Rodriguez CF	3	0	3	0	0	0	0	0	0	.364
    Morrison DH	2	0	1	0	0	0	1	0	1	.286
Only guys with hits so far.

Billings plays at 9:05 EST - Luca Panerati is on the mound.
Dayton plays at 7:05 with Josh Ravin pitching.
Sarasota plays at 7:05 with Travis Webb scheduled to go.
Carolina plays at 7:15 with Tom Cochran listed as the probable starter.
Louisville sends Sam Lecure to the mound at 7:15.

    How is Y-Rod 0-3 w/ 3 doubles?

If Hamilton can continue hitting anything like this, he is going to be a steal.

May want to tab out on the categories line so it lines up. Either that or Y Rod has managed 3 doubles without getting a hit. Impressive!

Let it be noted, the legend of Jim Coombs has started to surface.

He threw the same runner out at 3rd base twice. I am pretty sure this was on the same play. I am equally certain that he was credited with both 2 assists and 2 putouts.

Hamilton with his 3rd Encarnacion (throwing error) of the year. Yorman Rodriguez has thrown out two runners trying to go from 1st to 3rd on singles. Actually, he has thrown out the same guy twice. Guy must be a slow learner.

Reds team in Billings always seems to win a lot of games.
Reds GCL team never seems to win a lot of games.

There's WAY too many Rodriguezes on the GCL team.

LeCure has won his last 3 starts and went 6.2 IP with 4H, 5K and 2 BB in his last start. He may not be a high profile guy but he's not just filler.

Boxscore now shows it's tied 3-3 after 8.

    Hamilton is 2-4
Yorman is 3-4 with 2 SB

    All hits are singles
