Reuters has him listed as dead as well. Equally talented and crazy fellow.
What if this wasn't a rhetorical question?

So sad. Few people are born with his gift; fewer still create what he created. The guy was bigger than air and water.

I didn't expect to feel sadden by his death. But, just thinking about the music (and I'm not a great music fan) I feel a huge loss right now.

    Re: Michael Jackson R.I.P.

The MJ I knew was that of Thriller, Beat It, Billie Jean.

The Pepsi commercial where his hair caugh on fire.

The same time as Madonna, Billie Joel and Huey Lews & the News caught my attention too.

But MJ was the King. I remember coming home from school, turning the TV to Channel 5 to watch "Smash Videos" hoping they'd play "Thriller."

He had hits before and after that time, but that was the Michael Jackson I knew and liked best.

For whatever else he did the rest of his life, I'll always like much of his music.

    What sad, shocking news...

If this is true (that Geraldo is "hinting" anything about this) then this is proof that the guy should be stopped. I'm sure that news about his death will be all over the news for the next couple days and who knows what the official cause will be. But all the speculation, especially the crazier stuff, will be consumed by the more obsessed fans like water. Just a little distasteful Imo. Such is society these days. I just prefer a little respect. Great artist back in the day. Definitely an "eccentric" personality. A life that ended too soon.

Will Jackson's legend come close to that of Elvis in the years and decades to come? In the short term, I expect we'll get bombarded with caps, tee shirts, bumper stickers, books, and CD collections.

Anyone remember after Elvis' death, when TV was full of those commercials selling Elvis album sets and tee shirts with his picture on them were everywhere?

Help stamp out, eliminate, and do away with redundancy.

My wife was a huge fan. We used to play a Michael Jackson medley in our band and it always went over smashingly. He was a great talent and deeply weird but his talent will be greatly missed.
