Dallas Buck just threw a 70 MPH pitch and was removed from the game with an apparent injury.

The Mudcats game is not friendly tonight. Shaun Cumberland down on the warning track after hitting the wall trying to catch a ball. Carolina has a wooden fence. David Bell and the other teams trainer ran onto the field (Mudcats trainer was in the clubhouse with Dallas Buck). Cumberland is leaving the game under his own power, but he is heading into the clubhouse.

How can any team...even in the minors...still have a wooden fence?

    Well heck....Wrigley has the cement...so i guess it's okay?

Not sure if it's still there, but Rodney McCray ran through a minor league park's plywood wall in the early '90s.

Oddly enough, he's a minor league instructor for the Reds...according to his Wiki page.

Carolina just replaced their wall this off-season. We sure it's still wood?

When did Kainer get the call to Carolina?

And why did Jerry Gil get moved up to Carolina?

100% sure its still wood. I have seen plenty of video and pictures from this year and well, the announcer talked about it in the game after Cumberland ran into it.
