    June 29th Minor League Updates

Sarasota plays at 7 PM - Rafael Gonzalez
Louisville plays at 7 PM - TBD
Carolina at 7:15 PM - TBD

TBD can't be on both rosters at once. Anyone know who is going tonight? I've lost track of the rotations with all the movement lately.

Looks like it will be Justin Lehr for Louisville.

Yes, it should be Lehr. They need to take him off the temporarily inactive list.

edit: oops, nevermind. They activated him yesterday

    Bolivar 2B
    Stubbs CF
    Heisey LF
    Encarnacion 3B
    McDonald RF
    Rosales 1B
    Valaika SS
    Miller C
    Lehr P

I'd like to see Heisey in RF to see if his arm can do it (the Reds probably already know) and Dorn in LF. AB for McDonald at this point don't help the cause much. Sutton should play 2B. The Reds could actually field a AAA team where all the starters have some type of potential future in MLB. Tatum will probably catch most days.

Anybody know why Wes Bankston hasn't played since June 20? In his previous 10 games he'd hit .300 with 2 doubles and a HR (no walks though) so I don't think it performance related.

Reds are in a good position to trade some guys or trade some of hte ML guys right now. You have to think one of the 2 are going to happen soon.

    Heisey was in right yesterday.

McD helps the cause of the Bats, but not the Reds. He's actually a pretty good AAA hitter. Sutton should really be at 3B because that's where he might get a shot in the bigs, but with EE rehabing, nothing else matters much. Bolivar can swing a decent bat for AAA but is just filler these days. He also has way too many errors.

I'm warming up to Tatum quite a bit. He's better defensively and is putting good wood on the ball. He just needs to hit 'em where they ain't more.

It'll be interesting to see how Rosie does tonight.

BTW, tomorrow's Bats game will be televised live on the MLB network at 2 pm.

He got spiked on a pickoff attempt. He cut his right hand.

Bats get a run in the first without a hit.

    error
    steal
    Stubbs' warning track power
    groundout

Camilo Vazquez is pitching for Carolina tonight. I would have sworn he was still with the Bats.

    EE walks
    takes 2nd on a WP
    McD doubles him in
    passed ball, McD to 3rd

Bolivar reaches on an error and steals 2B.
Stubbs flies to RF, Bolivar to 3B
Heisey GO to SS, Bolivar Scores.
EdE Walks and goes to 2B on a WP
McDonald Doubles and EdE scores. McDonald takes 3B on a passed ball.
    Rosales GO.

    2-0 Bats.
