Holiday Want's to Play for the Reds??

A coworker told me her husband was watching the news last night (she thinks Channell 12) and the sports anchor said "Holiday want's to play for the Reds"

did anybody else hear this last night as well?

To pump up his regular stats for 4 months before free agency?

If that brings offensive production to this lineup, is that a problem?

Depends on what we give up, for a 4 month rental. If he has no intention of resigning here, is he really worth it? Does he give the Reds a real serious legitimate shot of winning a division or pennant? I'm not so sure he does. I'd rather have a SS.

While he will want cash to resign, you can't underestimate the appeal of hitting in this park 81 times per year. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if he wanted to be here. He has gone on record as saying he wouldn't mind a trade so time will tell.

Getting Holiday would give the Reds a legitimate shot of winning the division and or pennant.

Getting holiday would put less pressure on getting a SS. I'd still love to see BPhil over in the 6 hole.

FWIW, I watched the 11 PM channel 12 sports last night and don't remember hearing that. But then, it didn't have my undivided attention either.

Brad Johanson does have a sporty little goatee now though.

    It's about
    the ball,
    the bat,
    the mitt,
    the bases,
    and the fans
