    Drew Sutton On The Way?

Just read on rotoworld.com that the Reds are preparing to call up Sutton...no word yet on who would be getting sent down.
“The crows seem to be calling my name,” thought Caw.

Agreed. I don't think this would be done unless someone is headed to the DL.

Jeff Keppinger two is about be called up. A solid player but not going to be a move that makes a huge difference.

A cheaper, younger, switch-hitting version of Keppinger.

He has more power, and, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much more patience at the plate.

Keppinger and Sutton have absolutely nothing in common.

I don't know where anybody is getting this information that they are alike other than they are probably just making it up inside of their own heads.

They are very similar, and certainly have more in common than "absolutely nothing"

CINCINNATI -- Looking to bolster an injury-ridden infield, the Reds called up infielder Drew Sutton from Triple-A Louisville on Wednesday.

To make room for Sutton on the 25-man roster, reliever Jared Burton was optioned to Louisville.

Sutton, who was acquired in a March 31 trade that sent infielder Jeff Keppinger to the Astros, was batting .254 with five home runs and 19 RBIs in 38 games with Louisville.

The promotion comes one day after Sutton turned 26. It is his first promotion to the Majors. The Reds are playing without shortstop Alex Gonzalez and third baseman Edwin Encarnacion and have also done without first baseman Joey Votto and second baseman Brandon Phillips at times this season.

Burton was 0-0 with a 4.81 ERA in 29 games this season for the Reds. Of his 18 inherited runners, 10 scored.

What they have in common is that they both play below average defense at a bunch of different positions with a decent bat.

Yeah, while Sutton's bat might be a tad better niether provides the defense to stick as a starter in the major leagues.
