Check out the numbers Brian Pearl has posted so far with Billings:
5 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 11 K, 3.00 GO/FO
He was a 9th rounder but was considered a top three round talent.
The DSL Reds won 5-3.
Arias: 0-for-3 HBP
Felipe: 2-for-4 triple
Baez: 3-for-4 two doubles
Starlin Gerson: 6 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 9 K
The important cog is Cozart. If he is/will be ready to man SS for the Reds next season, then I think the Reds bite the bullet and deal w/ JHJ/Janish this year and wait for him til next year, vs going after an Escobar type guy.
