    NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Former Titans quarterback Steve McNair has been killed. Police said McNair suffered a fatal gunshot wound in downtown Nashville.
    The incident happened at 2nd South & Lea Ave.

    Former Ravens quarterback Steve McNair has been killed. Police said McNair suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head in downtown Nashville. Police said it looked like a double homicide. A female victim was also found dead, reports CBS station WJZ-TV in Baltimore.

    Former Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair has been killed, a source has confirmed to ESPN.com.

    McNair, police said, suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head in downtown Nashville. A female victim was also found dead, police spokesperson Don Aaron said. Aaron said the women has not been identified, pending notification of next of kin.

    The incident happened near 2nd South & Lea Ave in Nashville.

    McNair played 13 seasons in the NFL, 11 were with the Tennessee Titans. He played his final two years with the Baltimore Ravens, retiring after the 2007 season.

    McNair was picked third overall in the 1995 draft out of Alcorn State by the then Houston Oilers.

    Steve McNair has been found dead due to a fatal gunshot wound to the head, according to Nashville police.

    Newschannel Five in Tennessee has the news first. McNair was found in downtown Nashville. Police said it looked like a double homicide. A woman was also found dead on the premises. We'll update more news when we have it, but it's a heart-stopping tragic story on our nation's birthday. Our condolences go out to McNair's family

    It was reported that his wife did it in a murder-suicide, but then that report was pulled back.

    I don't want to speculate. It could've been anything. Until there are concrete reports it's just a guessing game.
