Ex-NFL QB McNair found shot to death in condo
Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair was found shot to death Saturday, multiple media outlets reported.
A woman was also found shot to death with McNair in a Nashville condominium in an apparent double homicide.
A public information officer with the Nashville police, Don Aaron, confirmed the death.
McNair played 11 seasons in the NFL with the Tennessee Titans franchise and then spent two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.
He was a three-time Pro Bowler and was the Co-AP NFL MVP in 2003.

Wow -- that's absolutely shocking. McNair was a helluva player and one of the toughest QBs I think I've ever watched.
Such a sad end to things for him.
Cincinnati Reds: Farm System Champions 2022
This really does stink. He was probably one of the more respected and liked players. It's a shame that he's gone at such a young age.
Ill wait for details.
Wow, always liked him as a QB. I remember him killing the Bengals' with those high lobs to Mason.
Wow. McNair was one of my favorites, and I'm not that involved with NFL. He always seemed to enjoy the game and give it his all...
Sad news.
I read on sportsline.com that McNair was shot multiple times, the girl once in the head, and his wife is not currently a suspect.
Regardless of what happened, a horrible tragedy. RIP
Edit: Also, the girl he was found dead with apparently had one bullet to the head, and the police are currently not looking for a suspect. So apparently he was murdered by the girl he was found with, who wasn't his wife. REALLY sad for his wife... how terrible. Can just one professional athlete be faithful to his wife? NO WAY does the guy deserve to die, and I'm sure he really was a great guy. It's just disappointing that these guys put themselves in this situation, in harms way.

LATimes: Updated: Police reportedly treating slaying of ex-NFL star Steve McNair as a murder-suicide; gun found near woman's body http://bit.ly/IvdGU
Anyone think this COULD be a case that this girl was a friend but was psycho and/or drunk/high and didnt take no for an answer? Or a case like Selena?

Sounds like she probably wanted hush money and didn't get it. If that were the case, going to the Mrs. might be the better option. At least you might still be alive (assuming the Mrs. doesn't kill her) or not rotting in the slammer for the rest of your life.
McNair found his Fatal Attraction. Its such a shame these guys will throw away what probably was a good marriage and family and a lifetime of happiness for a fling with another woman. The real tragedy is the family that is left behind and what they will have to deal with.

Turns out she was from Jax. Her family is saying that Steve had been telling her that he was gonna get divorced and marry her. She probably found out that wasn't gonna happen.
