Just saw a tremendous catch by Heisey. Back to the plate, running straight and hard toward the CF wall.

Web gem from Heisey for the first out of the fifth. For any of those who question his defense, I certainly believe it to be better than Taveras. I firmly believe that the ball Taveras let fall for a double in the fourth today would have been caught by both Stubbs and Heisey.

The Taveras experiment is over. Time for Stubbs/Heisey.

Andrew Means singles with two outs to bring up Wiley, looking for his 4th homer of the game.

Called strike one, ball, ball, strike two called, foul, ball three, strike three called. Horrible strike three call according to the announcer. He said the pitch was well inside and low.

Lehr has an uncharacteristically rough 5th inning. Burton on.

    Code:
Player	IP	H	R	ER	BB	SO	HR	ERA
    Lehr 4.2	5	4	4	2	4	1	3.43
    Burton 0.0	0	0	0	0	0	0	0.00
    Bats down 4-3

Interesting day for Dayton to say the least. Could get even more interesting tomorrow. They clearly hit Means intentionally in the ninth because they did not like him trying to bunt for a hit in a 20-11 game. Then he stole second, down by nine runs (ruled fielder's indifference). Brown stole third when the score was 13-2.

with the double header they are going to have to bring someone back on short rest or use a 6th starter, so maybe they plan on using Maloney on short rest.
