Taveras really is the perfect guy to bat 9th... I don't want him up with men on base and I certainly don't want him getting more PA than anybody else. Move everybody else up a slot and be done with it.

Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
You're not going to beat Carpenter by stringing together bunches of hits; he doesn't give up any. You're going to have to get lucky and get one pitch to elevate.

Pujols singles to LF. Feels like a moral victory to start the 4th.
One on, none out.

Ludwick singles to CF.
Runners at first and second. No outs.
Ankiel pops out to CF on the first pitch he sees. Thanks, Ankiel!
One down, runners still on first and second.
Molina up.
By the way, I was at the game yesterday, was George on the mic for FSN? What was his explanation for Molina's throwing the ball inexplicably into LF to gift-wrap the Reds a third run?
You ever find the game on TV membengal?

Thanks for the PBP.
"This isn’t stats vs scouts - this is stats and scouts working together, building an organization that blends the best of both worlds. This is the blueprint for how a baseball organization should be run. And, whether the baseball men of the 20th century like it or not, this is where baseball is going."---Dave Cameron, U.S.S. Mariner
3-0 Cards. I'd start packing it in right about now.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
Bronson...sigh.
