I agree; but what Welsh was alluding to was like when the Brewers went out and got C.C. last year knowing they weren't going to be able to retain him.

I don't think this Reds team is in that same position as far as overall talent level on this current roster.

Fisher is a personal favorite but he's not looking so good. His MO is hard stuff with control and lots of grounders. We haven't seen this. He's been OK, but not going as planned for him. Sporadic use could be part of it, but he may need to go back down and get in a groove again.

DP ends the inning. Nice comeback for Fisher.

    8-1 middle of 8.

Quest for a nine-run comeback enters a critical inning. Fear not the quest, reds players!

If only Roenicke had pitched in Homer's game.

Hopefully Dusty learned that no Weathers vs Pujols is a good thing.

Hanigan walks to start the 8th. Attaboy, Ryan. Now THAT is how you embrace the quest.

Motte pitching for StL by the way.

    Sutton flies out to RF.

    One down, Dickerson up.

Only 24,000 at the game today. I wonder if people looked at the Arroyo/Carpenter match-up and decided to do something else today. Might have hurt their walk-up a bit anyway...

Dickerson Ks. Why must the quest be so reviled?

    Two down.

Willy T up. Willy T....WHAT is your quest?

Willy T says MY quest is for a 9-run comeback!

    Singles to LF.

Two on, two out, for Votto.

    Joey, WHAT is your quest?

(Pitching change for StL...Reyes in to face Votto)

Two down, two on, bottom of the 8th.

Joey, hating on the quest, grounds out to 1b.

End of 8 innings, 8-1 Cardinals.
