And another one-Robert McNamara dead at 93

Former Secretary of Defense. Not a big shocker, given his age.

The man championed the Falcon and the Indo China action, plus he was a Stanford man... what a life.

I can't believe he made it this long with that guilt... the early Falcon was dull.

When I was in the sixth grade, I had to do a current events report on Robert McNamara. The teacher was holding up Time magazine covers, and we were raising our hands to pick someone from the covers to write a report about. She was going through the covers for the second time (I had given up on a baseball player being offered up) when I picked him. I had no idea who he was at the time...

McNamara exemplifies why intelligence doesn't always equal sound judgment.

If you haven't already, sit down and watch "The Fog of War." Excellent documentary that is very insightful into McNamara's life and decision-making process--I found him to be very candid.
