Yup, 2-0 count to Werth and obviously George and Chris oblivious to the game itself...just talking about the AS selections etc.

And Werth singles just in front of a diving WillyT, for a single.

It's ok. Just let's not mortgage the future. Some of the guys in the GCL will have the Reds winning by 2017.

What the heck is it with the 1st inning and these starting pitchers? Can they change their warm-up routine or preparation regime, sumpin?

Yeah, you guessed it, 2-0 count to Dobbs. Again, Chris/George oblivious.

If the future is anything like the present, it sucks.

    The Reds is dead.

It's simply awful when you know you're out of the game in the bottom of the first inning. And we are. Game over. Sad.

It can be fixed. But it requires two things the Reds don't have -- willingness to spend money and a burning desire to have a top ballclub.

Teams have to think big to win. The Reds think medium.

The Reds really only have one dangerous hitter in their lineup tonight.

Fortunately playing in Philly is like giving a composite bat to a guy who normally has flyball out power.

The Reds are perfectly content with drawing large crowds 12-15 times a year when the Cubs, Cardinals or Indians are in town or when they give away bobbleheads.

They seem as if they couldn't possibly care less if they actually win.
