    Tuesday 7/7/09 minor league updates

    Louisville - 7:00 - RHP Ramon Ramirez

    Carolina is already underway.

    Sarasota - 7:05 - RHP Scott Carroll

    Dayton is already underway.

    Billings - 9:05 - RHP Tim Crabbe

    The GCL Reds played a doubleheader beginning at 11:00.

    The DSL Reds played at 10:30.

    Carolina is winning 2-0 in the 4th inning.

    Juan Francisco is 2-for-2 with his 15th HR.

    Todd Frazier has the day off.

    Dayton is losing 1-0 after three innings. Byron Wiley has walked in his only plate appearance so far.

    Entering today, Wiley is hitting .400 with six home runs in his last 10 games, including four HR in the last two games, plus a lineout to the warning track. Overall, he's hitting .257/.382/.497 - .879 OPS.

    It will be interesting to see...if Francisco hits 30 dingers as a 22-year-old in AA, will he start to show up on national top prospect radars despite his horrendous plate discipline?
