Looks like Scott Williamson may be back with the Marlins

I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.

This is the best time in years to be a washed up vet. It is absolutely amazing that these guys are finding homes, though it is largely due to the deathgrip teams are keeping on quality pitchers in the trade market.

With the sort of money players are making, I'm not surprised that a guy looks to make a comeback. Williamson is just 33 and has had two years off. Look at what we got from Lincoln last year. It will be interesting to see.

Did anyone else do a double take when they read this:

Multiple sources have said in every possible trade proposal the Marlins have inquired about, the other team has sought either Mike Stanton or Logan Morrison in return. Both are considered untouchable.
Naturally, I know that's not the Mike Stanton we all know and love, but it made me laugh.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

What's great about Williamson is that he can detach his pitching arm and keep it in a locker.

Kind of like Mr Potato Head.

My masseuse used to work for his wife and she told me that Scott wasn't doing so well financially.

    Masseuse, eh?

Pardon me, but would you happen to have any Grey Poupon?

That's what happens when your arm falls off.

The cash falls off with it.

Williamson was always one of my favorites. I'd love to see him make it back to the majors. When he first come up, he was nearly unhittable.
