Agreed, Nix has to stop in his tracks on that play. Most of the time the second baseman would then throw it to first to force out that runner, leaving the original runner in a rundown.

In that situation, a rundown allows the runner to score from third.
This will not change until the Reds win the World Series.......

Bad luck there, nasty curve ball dribbled to first base, tough play and votto can't get it to homer in time.

    Infield hit.

    Runner at 1b, no outs.

Nix with two really bad base running blunders cost us a run.

He should have easily made it to second on Hernadez fly out. And if he simply stops before he gets tagged on the Bruce ground ball, a run will score.

Utley flies to RF, runner moves to 3b, making it a sac fly.

One down, runner on third, howard up.

It might wake him up and also give him a chance to get some confidence back and a old set of eyes that at AAA that has worked with him before to help him get his stroke back.

Bailey continues to throw about 80% fastballs to the Phils tonight. Like to see him mix it up a bit.

Wow. Homer blew that one by Werth.

moving to 3b is only a sacrifice, not a sacrifice fly. I think.

Facing three lefties this series, I think they'd rest him against one of the lefties, not tonight against Lopez.

And I don't know how anyone knows whether AAA would improve his swing. Of course, it doesn't matter because he obviously is not going to AAA.

But I hope the Reds have some plan for helping Bruce improve at the plate.

Why? He's got command of it. Schilling, among others, has said there is nothing more devastating that a good fastball with command. If he's got that tonight, keep pumping it. Rather see that than him make mistake with the curve, which hasn't been as sharp...

Dobbs singles to RF on the splitter, through the hole between first and second.

Runners at first and second, two outs.

    Feliz up.
