The problem is is that his stroke hasn't changed since he has been here. He hasn't made any adjustments, sending him to triple A and seeing him bat .315 will only reinforce that he doesn't need to adjust his swing or approach.

Fly ball to CF ends the inning.

    2-1 Reds after four.

    Homer's night so far, 4 IP 4 hits 1 run 3 Ks 0 walks.

All four hits have been singles.

    54 pitches.

Good stuff, really, against a nasty offensive team with six leftys in the line-up against him.

You keep pumping fastballs against a team like the Phillies and eventually they will make you pay no matter how devestating. You have to mix in a few breaking balls to keep these guys honest. The last three or four batters came looking for nothing but fastballs against Homer.

EE pops up on the infield on the first pitch he sees.

    One down. Homer up.

Bruce needs to stop doing that curly thing with his mouth and look mean out there.

Actually it's just an out. Sacrifices are only on bunts where the batter intentially gives himself out. Sacrifice flys are only for a run scoring.

If I'm Dusty, first chance I get I'm yelling at EE for not taking a pitch or two. Homer needed a breather.

And Werth was still late on it. So was Feliz on the first two pitches.

    I'm not complaining.
