I smell extra innings today: similar starters, similar offenses, neither team with much depth.

1-0 Mets off a David Wright double.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Seriously, Willy Taveras is a terrible outfielder.

The Reds need to play the best center fielder in center.

Gosh, this place is dead today.

5 pitches and 2 outs in the third. Ah, Willy T. flies out to short center. No wonder no one cares anymore. I may take a nap but not intentionally. The Reds' offense is the most boring one I've seen in nearly 50 years as a Reds fan.

Speaking of dead, have you seen the Reds' offense lately?

They now haven't scored in about 16 innings.

And Willy is not a terrible outfielder. I was there on Friday night and he made an outstanding diving catch in the first inning. Even if his jumps aren't the best, he covers a great deal of ground.

If he could only hit. If most of them could only hit.

As Harang strikes out the first batter, I bid you adieu.

Dickerson makes a great attempt on what should have been Tavares' ball.

Noodle arm allows Sheffield to go to second on the throw home.
