Mets announcers declare that Tavares made a terrible decision on that single.

Taveras is an absolute joke in CF. He thinks he can throw anyone out with that weak arm? How about actually taking the correct angle on a ball over your head for a change too. That might help.

Everyone talks about Taveras' inability to hit -- and they are right. But the guy is completely overrated defensively. He makes boneheaded mistakes all the time.

He was still trying to figure out if he should go back or come in.

He broke back, and then was pretending he could catch it to dupe the runners, while Dickerson attempted to actually catch it for him.

Just like last night. Nothing hit hard and mistakes made in the field. Boy does this team need an overhaul soon. Even the Mets scrubs made us look like bufoons. I still say the dive is overrated only because of ESPN's "Web Gems" crap.

Now 4-0. Game is probably over. How nice.

Yikes...sheffield hits a grounder up the middle (which looked like wide expanses), two runs score and Sheff takes second on Taveras flaccid throw home which BTW, had zero chance.

And if Hernandez knew how to block a ball, Sheffield's hit would have been a 6-4-3.

Looks likes the Reds are going to limp into the All-Star break moreso than they already were.

Right now I'm fuming that Sheffield is standing on third.

Nice way to limp into the AS break boys. Sounds about right.

I feel sorry for Dusty at times. I mean, high school outfielders don't take as bad of angles on balls over their head as Taveras does. There are certain things you should just be able to do as a MLB player.

It's hard to stay mad at the Reds....

Dusty could quit sticking him out there.

So glad that Taveras has a 2 year deal.
