I declare they are 100 percent correct. Even a CF with a good arm couldn't have thrown out Wright on that single up the middle, yet "Free Willy" thinks he can? I think the Reds need to start handing out IQ tests before they sign anyone. (Not unlike the Wonderlic in the NFL.)

Time to take Harang out unless you just want to run his pitch count up.

So glad that Taveras has a 2 year deal.

If you want to keep playing him it shouldn't be in CF.

Everyone talks about Taveras' inability to hit -- and they are right. But the guy is completely overrated defensively. He makes boneheaded mistakes all the time.
Dickerson did the same thing last night. Defensively, this outfield on the field today is pretty flaccid. IF we had a shortstop, (and believe me, we don't) two of those grounders through the middle that went for hits might have been at least knocked down, but...we valued Gonzalez and Hairston, two marginal players, more than finding some good players, all the time giveing big money to a closer, a washed up outfielder, and offering arbitration to David
    Weathers. Shameful.

Defense is funny. The Reds have the best defensive club that they've had in a long time and we spend a lot of time yucking at their defense.

This team will be much more interesting after the September callups than it is now.

Another problem--Harang's fastball is once again back at 88 MPH. I've never seen a FB fluctuate speeds so dramatically.

It'd be one thing if they didn't have a better option...Dickerson has proven that they do, but Dusty won't do it.

Harang is kind of missing his spots.

Yeah, amid all the mistakes around him, Harang yet again looks mediocre today. He tries to nibble against scrub hitters and it gets him in trouble. Then he comes right at guys like Wright.

Harang is at 74 pitches through three.

I've never been sure Harang was "ace" material. The game gets in his head. You could see it after that muffed catch in right. The look on his face said, "here we go again," on it.

I agree that they are just phoning it in at this point. I think the injuries have got to them. All of them.

I'd do that Kemp for Harang deal 100 times out of 100.
