    Reds set weekend rotation

The Brewers series rotation has been set and announced by the Reds (per a tweet by FS Ohio on Twitter).

THU: Homer Bailey vs. Braden Looper
FRI: Bronson Arroyo vs. Jeff Suppan
SAT: Aaron Harang vs. Manny Parra
SUN: Johnny Cuteo vs. Yovani Gallardo.

Seems like the best possible match-ups for the Reds as you could hope for (other than having to face Gallardo).

I'm glad Johnny is getting some extra rest. Hopefully our good Aaron shows up for Saturday so I can see the Reds win when I go downtown to the game that night!

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Some buddies and I have what amounts to a 10-game Friday pack (we picked up 2 of the 20 flex packs and picked 10 games, 4 tix each). We've drawn Arroyo for three Fridays in a row now.

Ouch. Take heart: He'll be gone by the second.

Boy, Cueto has been off lately, but having to face Cole Hamels, Johan Santana, and Yovani Gallardo isn't helping his chances of getting a win

its been a year of growing for Cueto and Volquez said it best, he told everyone he's not the ace Cueto is.

I like the way the matchups fall. Our best chances, tbh. Should be a fun series, although the offense has a chance to make it a miserable one. We can hope not though!

They are putting a lot of faith in Bailey by bringing him back first.

The last time Homer pitched was July 8th. 8 days is a nice rest and plenty of time to reflect on just how well his last outing was. He needs to get back in there first. Cueto and Harang need more rest, probably more than they will get.
