I think Puckett also deserves to be in Sarasota.

Of the three young sticks in the GCL (Y-Rod, Duran, Hamilton,) Yorman looks to be the most ready for Dayton next season. Although, if Hamilton can return to the lineup and continue to produce, he could start there as well.

    Granted, it's still very early.

17 is young for the midwest league isn't it? He's still just 16 right? I'd think Billings and then Dayton late if he hits at Billings.

He turns 17 in less than a month, so he'll be 18 halfway through next season. It's a little young sure. But not if his defense is there and he continues to hit well in the GCL.

Sure there aren't a lot of 18 year-old's in the MWL, but there's also not a lot of 18 year old's with $3MM talent.

true. I wasn't sure about his age, and I think there was a 17 year old player in the Futures game yesterday, so it isn't impossible.

Anyone have Yorman's stats from this year?

Also, don't forget the Southern League All Star game is tonight. Travis Wood (8-3, 1.29 ERA) is the starter for the North Division, and Todd Frazier will be in the starting lineup as well.

The game starts in a little over two hours at 8:05 EDT.
