    2009 All Star Game thread

This will be fun. We can keep track of McCarver's idiotic statements too.

Anyone want to bet Cordero doesn't get into the game?

Only one man loves Albert Pujols (or St. Louis for that matter) more than George Grande, and that man is Joe Buck.

I wonder if LaRussa were managing this game if he'd hit the pitcher 8th?

Tim Lincecum looks like a homely lesbian.

Not that there is anything wrong with it.

A Pujols error leads to the first run. 1-0 AL.

Lincecum not missing too many bats tonight... And now he fails to cover 1st and misses an inning ending dp.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

    Re: All Star Game thread?

I hope Cordero doesn't get into this game. The Orioles closer, George Sherrill, ended up pitching three innings in this game last year and I think it messed him up for the rest of the season. I'd rather Cordero stay on the bench tonight personally after watching what happened to Sherrill last year.

And can that Lincecum who couldn't find the strike zone and gave up some runs show up if the Reds have to face him in the second half of the season?! LOL
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”
