Stubbs is up again. He's facing RJ Swindle. First pitch is a 50 mph curveball. Wow.

Stubbs reaches on an infield single. He's 2-for-4 with a HR and an outfield assist. MVP?

Unless someone goes off here in the last two innings, the MVP of the AAA All-Star game will come down to two players: Drew Stubbs or Erik Kratz. Kratz is a 29-year old catcher in the Pirates organization. He's out of the game now but he went 2-for-2 with a double, HR, a walk, and two RBI. Stubbs is 2-for-4 with a single, home run, and an outfield assist. He's still in the game and should get another atbat.

Stubbs is up again. He quickly gets ahead in the count 2-0. Swing and miss. 2-1. Groundout to the pitcher.

I was really hoping he could get another knock there to lock in the MVP

    Serrano promoted to Dayton.

    Dragons tales

Righty Mark Serrano, a sixth-round draft pick by the Reds out of Oral Roberts last month, is here and will pitch a few innings of relief before joining the rotation.

Hes the oldest on the team, turning 24 on Sept. 14.

Re: Wednesday 7/15/09 Minor League Updates

Just got back from the game.

Stubbs got hosed on the MVP. He looked like the best player on the field, by far. His dinger was hit very hard, but left field is only 317. I'd give it about 370 at best. He was flat out flying on that infield single. Lehr also looked very good in his innings, a bit more pop on his ball than I expected.

The classic of the night......when Stubbs came up for his 3rd AB, the song was "I'm just a love machine". I'm hoping the players didn't pick the songs?

Stubbs won the FSL All-Star game MVP last year when he went 1-for-4 with a home run. He's got a knack for hitting homers in All-Star games.

he has power, I like that his gameplan is to get on base and steal, I dont understand how the Reds think he's not ready

Nice to see Stovall with a multi-hit game for Billings. He really needs to keep this up to hope that he can stick with Dayton next year.

Leads you to believe that maybe Fairel is getting a promotion soon. The rotation is already set with Fairel, Partch, Sulbaran, Janke, and I forget the last one, Bowman? Not sure where Serrano fits in unless someone is moving up to Sarasota.

But then again, I think they've gone to a 6 man rotation in the past, just to limit innings in the 2nd half.
