    A. Gonzalez battled for about eight pitches, but struck out in his first at-bat in Louisville tonight. In other news, the grass at Slugger Field is green.

Kelch is saying that's it's a good possibility that Volquez will be rehabbing in Louisville next week. He said Volquez has thrown 3 side sessions already.

You all see my interview with Stubbs? He is very well-spoken and was easy interview, which is fortunate because it was the first interview I have ever done.

I asked Dusty Saturday when Volquez would be back, he said "hopefully in a month"

That's just sad to have missed the whole summer, or about 3 months total. That was not expected, though neither was Harang's outings, or Arroyo's outings.

These were the three most experienced pitchers on the staff and supposed to be the strength of the team going into the season and we've gotten very little out of all three of them.

2-0 Dayton after 4, which means that Curtis Partch now has 19 consecutive scoreless innings.

First time I've watched the Bats online....Valaika's swing sure looked smooth on that HR
This will not change until the Reds win the World Series.......

Valaika has swung a lot better since coming off the DL, his offense was really struggling early in the season. He's playing 2B tonight with Gonzalez in the lineup.

Shouldn't have said anything about Partch. Beloit scored 3 in the 5th.

Alex Gonzalez just put a little blooper into left to drive in a run.
