Billings hangs on 7-6. Daniel Corcino, 18 years old, picks up the save with a scoreless 9th.

DSL Reds beat up on the DSL Rockies 8-3. Junior Arias went 1-4 with a walk, RBI, and run scored.

You can't like seeing 18 errors for Zach Cozart. I know scouts have raved about his defense, but 18 errors is a bit concerning to me. I'm sure Votto could have picked a few of those throwing errors, but is Cozart's D a bit overrated? Is his D rated so highly because he has great range and gets to more balls, thus creating more chances for an error?

I'm pretty sure Doug has stated that the infield in Carolina is pretty bad. Could be getting a lot of bad hops if that's the case.

Their field is pretty bad down in Carolina. Honestly, Cozart made 10 errors last season. Do we honestly think something changed in his skillset that led to an increase in errors by about 100%? I would say no, there probably hasn't been something like that happen.

He's had a hit in every game he's played thus far.

I work with his sister -- she was very excited when I told her he homered last night and rushed off to call him. It was cute.

Would that be the Nurre family in the funeral home business? What high school did he go to?
