Why not trade fo Sanchez of the Bucs?

The Reds could move Phillips back to SS and play Sanchez at second. Sanchez is a ideal number 2 hitter. That would solve the SS hole and the 2 hole in the batting order in the same deal.

    Wood and Janish to Pirates

    and

    Sanchez to Reds
Reds sign Sanchez to the 3 year deal he proposed to the Bucs. 3 yrs and 20mil. 6 mil. next year 6.5 the next and 7.5 the year after.

The problem is it makes too much sense.

Well if we wanted to move Phillips to SS we could find in house options for 2nd. No reason to trade and spend money on him,

He will be declining soon. Getting him wouldn't have been a huge thrill for me, personally.
