    Kip Wells called up

Today just keeps getting better and better.

WELLS UP: The Reds brought up Kip Wells to take Roenicke's roster spot. He'll be the long man out of the bullpen.

So the bats are left without any pitcher capable to start tonight... why Wells and not the more talented and 40 man roster player Ramon Ramirez.

If you can call up a guy with a close to 7 ERA in over 20 innings this year in the majors you have to do it.

Transaction wise I have a feelings this would have been a more exciting day to be a Reds fan if it was 2004.

I'd be happier if it was this Kip:

Well, he'll only be pitching when we're already toast, so who gives a crap?

In that case he better have a rubber arm because if that is the criterion he will be hurling almost every game.
