Lots of reasons to watch tonight...Bailey and Rolen's debut. Let's hope for a game in which we have a chance after the first IP.

Sure is weird seeing Rolen in a Cincy uni.

And why isn't Hanigan batting leadoff or 2nd?!?

Yes, I know, it's cuz Dusty says catchers don't bat that high...just frustrating to see our two worst hitters batting 1-2.

96 chz for first pitch strike on Barmes...then 94 on the black at the knees. 5 pitches, 5 strikes. Sexy.

Then the 0-2 hook nailed, but the vacuum at 3b gobbles it and 2 down! Very nice play by Rolen!

Seeing Rolen at 3rd, I feel like I just called up to be a fan of an actual big league team.

A rare first inning lead for the Reds as Sutton scores on Votto's ground out. 1-0 Reds

    Re: 8.1.09 Reds v Rockies

Reds RS/RA for the 1st inning now reduced to 44/6,549 :

Hard to recall the Reds both shutting out the opponent in the 1st, AND getting the lead.
