All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

I was writing a check today and realized today was the day 30 years ago that Munson died in the plane wreck. Then I quickly reminded myself that I remember the most bizarre things.

    Bob Kalsu R.I.P.
Pat Tillman's death while serving with the U.S. Military is recent enough to be recalled by most. I had never heard of Kalsu until a few years ago when he was profiled in SI. He was an offensive lineman for the Buffalo Bills who probaly could have avoided military service but instead served in Viet Nam and was killed at about the same time his wife gave birth to his son.

He was in his second year as a Red Sox first baseman (1955).

For some reason the first guy I thought of was Kenny Hubbs, maybe because his was the first death of an active player I was aware of when I was a kid.
