Watched "The Dirty Dozen" on AMC last night. Very high testosterone factor. Been a long time since I'd watched it and I was a little surprised at some of the subtext in it. I remember seeing it as a kid and all I cared about was that it had Jim Brown in it.

Agree with those who mentioned Starship Troopers.

For me, one of my favorite movies is V for Vendetta...

That was a scene that was pretty brutal to watch.
They had to break the real goalkeeper's arm so that Sly could get out of the holding cell and join the team. Michael Caine actually did the stomping, and yeah, it was a brutal scene.

    awesome movie.

Once a year I sit down and watch Dirty Dozen and The Great Escape in one sitting. Awesome 6 hours or so.

With the exception of Paint your Wagon, I'd watch Lee Marvin in anything. My personal favorite remains The Big Red One, which was underrated until the uncut version was released in 2004.

Watching (and listening) to Eastwood attempt to sing in that flick was painful. I'm a big CE fan, and have most of his movies in my DVD collection. But THAT movie does not exist! :

And I loved Marvin in Cat Ballou.

    I heart Lee Marvin.

He'd punch me right in the fact if I said so, but he's been dead for years so I am going to take a chance and say it again. I heart Lee Marvin.

Actually, I think that's how the writer pitched the thing. "I've got this idea about a bunch of sweaty germans in a tin can. It'll be gold, Jerry, gold."

Has anyone mentioned Way Of The Gun yet? Love that movie.

Also, I don't know if they count as underrated, but a couple Guy Richie films in lock stock & 2 smoking barrels and revolver are a few I enjoy.
