Must have been the rift over that apple brown peggy that Dunn ate.
Dunno who did the writing but I'm sure Ronnie Dunn can find another guitar player.

I didn't even know Garth and Holly were together.
It is on the whole probable that we continually dream, but that consciousness makes such a noise that we do not hear it. Carl Jung.
I would like to try and see them in 2010 before the part ways. I heard they put on a great show.

Didn't help that they both got released by the Bucs after Gruden got fired.
Oh wait.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
I first read that as "Kearns and Dunn." I don't like country music, AT ALL. EVER. But they have a couple of songs that I would call guilty pleasures.
I can't say that I am surprised. Ronnie Dunn sang lead and I think he wrote more of their songs than did Brooks.

"In our sundown perambulations of late, through the outer parts of Brooklyn, we have observed several parties of youngsters playing 'base', a certain game of ball. Let us go forth awhile, and get better air in our lungs. Let us leave our close rooms, the game of ball is glorious"
-Walt Whitman
If those two kids can't make it in this crazy world, what hope is there for the rest of us?
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.
I abandoned the country scene about ten years ago, when it became clear that Nashville's version of "country" had become VH1 boy groups and male and female pop singers. So I'm probably not that familiar with their recent stuff. While I really liked two or three of their songs, they really annoyed me when they released songs like this steaming pile of worn-out cliches:
Every line in that song has been written hundreds of times before, mostly by kids in garage bands trying their hand at songwriting for the first time. But, to B&D's credit, they took it and made a huge hit out of it.I'm still hurtin' from the last time
You walked on this heart of mine
I can't find much to believe in
You let me down so many times
Heaven knows how I love you
But I'm tired of holding on
You better kiss me
'Cause your gonna miss me when I'm gone
Not much chance we're gonna make it
If I'm the only one who's trying
You know I'm running out of reasons
And we're running out of time
Someday, girl, you're gonna wake up
And wonder what went wrong
You better kiss me
'Cause your gonna miss me when I'm gone
You're good at going through the motions
All I hear are alibis
Not I get this empty feeling
When I look into your eyes
I don't see a love light shining
I don't know what's going on
You better kiss me
'Cause your gonna miss me when I'm gone
