    ? for Travis Grimes

I saw in the minor league forum you stated you wore a bag on your head to the game the other day, and got thrown out within 5 seconds. What did they say about it? I know they have "the right" to throw anyone out they want, but the bag over head isnt new, see it other places, wonder why the Reds pulled the trigger and others dont-or do they but pics get out before thrown out? Heck, they should be glad you were there, even in bagged head....

they said it was disrespectful to the reds organization... lol they initially told me to take the bag off when i refused the escorted me out and said they would think about a short-term ban so that I would not be able to attend a game for a while

Did you respond what they are selling as a team is even more disgraceful to the Reds Organization? I bet if it wasnt the visitor-friendly packed Cubs series they wouldnt care, would just be glad to have anyone in the stands. Bush league move IMO.

The local media should be notified. That is ridiculous. If you paid for your ticket then you should be able to attend the game.

i agree, i think this should be brought to more peoples attention. I wonder how ESPN shows htose other guys all the time at other stadiums, but we kick em out. Wonder how many teams/stadiums let it go, and how many boot em?

I own a business(pizza/bar/cafe)where over the years we have had a few customers decide that a company policy or employee or something had upset them enough that they would badmouth myself and the business as a whole causing a scene while we have been open for business. They've been told to knock it of or they would be told to leave.Other customers that are more understanding to what you have to do to run a business don't want to hear that crap when they are trying to enjoy their self for the night.I know I wouldn't want to take my young son to his first Reds game and have to explain why someone has a bag on their head.Hell it might even scare him.I certainly understand what Travis was doing, but there is really no good that can come out of it.If anything it only makes you look stupid when you actually have a good point.Constructive criticism is about the only way a fan has to go if they want to take the high road.

There something in this country called freedom of speech/expression. Sorry but a ballpark's or organizations rules do not and should not hold more water than those amendments in the constitution. I was contacted today by someone in the Reds FO informing me there will be no temporary ban but if I show up again with anything derogatory like that again I will be banned for life. The Reds FO and Ownership has ran my all-time favorite sports team into the ground year after year. For some of you older guys put yourself in my position. I am 20 years old, don't have alot of money, going through rough times and the biggest way for me to forget my problems is a 3 hour Reds baseball game. And with the product they are continuing to put on the field I can't even watch them anymore. I mean I am 20 years old, I am too young to remember 1990 or 1995 and since then have yet to see my Reds in the playoffs, or hell with the exception of one year anywhere close. It would be easier if the Bengals were a constant contender and playoff team but that's nowhere near true. It's rough for a die-hard sports fan like me to go through 20 years of no championships, no real fan playoff experience or even a true contender. It's frustrating, especially when the organization shows no sign of improving or even attempting to improve. So yeah, for once I wanted to just show my displeasure and use my rights as an American citizen to my advantage. Last time I checked it says freedom of speech/expression in the constitution not: Freedom of Speech/Expression unless it hurts someone's feelings. It's sad to think the only team I root for in town to win a championship in my lifetime is my alma mater high school football Colerain Cardinals.

If I was allowed to say anything I wanted at anytime, and at anyplace on this board, I would've probably been banned.

That's right. The people that run this web site have every right to dictate what goes on in here.Just as every business has the right to control what goes on within their establishment/stadium.The first amendment does not give you the right to do what ever you want where ever you want.

As far as Mr. Grimes goes.I'm sympathetic to your story and hope you can find some joy when the Reds do win and can hold out a little longer as a fan.Sorry I do not have any better suggestions in regards to expressing your displeasure but speaking your mind in RZ is a good start.

Someone needs to organize a bag on the head pilgrimage to the stadium.

I applaud Travis Grimes for taking a stand, bravo.

Seriously. I can't stand it when people say things like that.
