This is probably an urban legend, too, but I heard of a guy named Franchester.

I know a guy named Ted Sickles.......say his name real fast.

I used to do a lot of retail work when I was younger and here are just a few I encountered.
1. Ronald McDonald
2. Sandra Beach
3. Eileen Dover (not kidding, married into it)
4. Shirley Whirley (also married into it)
And this one takes the cake. My wife is from Kenya and speaks a few African languages. She met a young black girl at work one day who told her that she had an African name. When the girl said what her name was, my wife didn't have the heart to tell her that it was Swahili for prostitute.

One Christmas, we were taking part in the Salvation Army's Angel Tree effort and came across a child with the first name "Alcapone."
I vaguely remember a local news story about avid University of Tennessee fans. Their last name was "White" and, while I can't remember their young daughter's exact first name, her full name read as "Orange and White."
My past work experience showed me many interesting names such as Lasagna, Movie (pronounced MOO-vey, trust me, you don't want to mess that one up ), Money, and others I can't think of off the top of my head... If my brain clears up I'll try to remember some more.
My wife and I have already decided to name our kids Lotion and Subaru.
Stick to your guns.
How about the poor kid named Wrigley Fields.

In the DC area you see lots of names that are weird and probably have a translation much different from ours. One of the first names when I first moved here that a check out girl had on her name badge was Dung. I wonder if anyone ever told her what that translated to in English?

Reds Fan Since 1971
Years ago we had a guy work for us whose wifes name was Kitty Hawk and they named their son Tommy Hawk.
Needless to say they were kinda not right.

Two pages in and, unless I missed it, the obvious hasn't been stated:
The Reds have a pitching coach named Dick Pole.
The Lost Decade Average Season: 74-88
2014-22 Average Season: 71-91
Dick Pole
Right now on WLW, McConnell is having people call in on this very subject.
Somebody there must read this board.

You mention the last name Dick. When I worked at a bank, we had a customer who had that last name and the first name was...you guessed it...Harry. He was a doctor too.

There is a guy in the news right now, I think I saw it in Dayton, for allegedly committing a murder, and his first and middle name was Al'cappone Alpacino or something along those lines. Preposturously awesome.
Also, my first and middle names, are, in fact, Javy Pornstache.
