Simply terrible call by the umps. Geez!
WT makes a drag bunt attempt. The ball comes off the bat, but is batted straight down and comes up and hits WT while he is moving but still in the batter's box. Replay easily confirms that fact.

thought BP may have had that one.

2 1/2 ounce heavier bat for Dunn this year. That is crazy.
Goes the other way for a dinger to left, #31.

Jacoby tossed.
The Reds give away enough outs the way it is. Getting hosed on 2 in 2 innings just ain't right.

So silly to prevent the use of technology that would allow umpires to enforce the rules more accurately... Dusty Baker gives away enough outs -- we don't need help from the ump.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
This lineup may cause me to barf. It would make sense to forfeit the rest of the season and rest up for next year. Any lineup that includes Taveras, Rosales, and Janish simply means you've only got six MLB batters in the game. It's six on eight. Shameful.

Arroyo's last 50 innings.....2.48 earnie
Cueto's last 50 innings.....9.00 earnie (and counting)
that's 1/4 of a season.
