And Toothpick was pleased that Volquez and Cueto were playing winter ball.

    I saw that, GIDP.

It apparently worked for them big-time.

Arroyo, Harang, Phillips, Cordero, and maybe a handful of others are the only Reds who have managed to avoid the DL this year. This team has been absolutely BLITZED by injuries.

Child please. Get off that. Dusty hasn't done a lot of things right, (or anything) but he's handled Volquez and Cueto pretty well. And Wood was injured before Dusty got to Chicago, and Prior had bad mechanics, which Volquez does as well.

Okay...but the Reds lead the league w/ starts in which our starters threw between 100-119 pitches (69 starts). That number makes some sense when the Reds had the worst bullpen in the NL, but they currently have a solid bullpen.

    Re: Cueto to DL

Time to rethink the WBC as well? Are there any Reds who participated who havent ended up hurt this year? I know it could be coincidence, but I said before the long term injury/stress/wear out of it and the timing were my big concerns of it.

The reds have a good bullpen, in part, because they have not been overworked and the starters are pitching their share of the innings.

Well, we didn't exactly give them a chance to prove that they are not good. Coming into this season, starting pitching was our largest asset. Now it is a disaster. Dusty Dusty Dusty...
